When the music department was hosting its annual Jazz Clinic, they wanted to make a splash in the local community. After speaking with the clinic instructor, we decided that a vintage-inspired poster would help to build awareness of the clinic and help to build the brand of East Central College’s Jazz Band.

Working with the music director, we decided to try and re-create one of Cliff Roberts famous designs, but with an East Central College twist. The result is a beautiful poster that captures attention and helped to make the event the most successful yet.

Project: Men’s Soccer Schedule Poster

Description:

Each year the East Central College athletic department would work to create posters to share with local businesses. For 2015, I decided to take a different take on the traditional schedule that we had created. Putting the design at a slight angle, adding additional photos, and featuring the star players captured viewers attention. The team attracted so much attention that they were able to purchase new uniforms and re-sod their home field.

A SCHEDULE YOU WANT TO SEE

Rather than just create another simple sports schedule, I worked to create an experience that would recreate the excitement of attending a game. While you won’t be on the edge of your seat, you might just be able to smell the fresh cut grass in your subconscious.
